         Gooding  Expand your English fluency as you explore American culture through film. This advanced level conversation class emphasizes vocabulary building, including idioms and colloquialisms, and oral communication through guided discussions of films, television shows, and other media. Students practice strategies for leading and joining discussions and debating “hot topics” as they analyze American values and attitudes. Films may include classics such as Gone with the Wind that present historical perspectives, contemporary dramas, and comedies. Students view and discuss the films in class.
Prerequisite: 492.071 Intermediate Oral Communication or its equivalent or placement test.
