Korean Course Descriptions:

380.101-102 Elements of Korean I and II
The course introduces the alphabet and basic structures of Korean.  Presents cultural notes to enhance a better understanding of the language. May not be taken S/U.  3 credits

380.201-202 Intermediate Korean Reading and Writing
Designed for students who are proficient in listening and speaking skills and have an ability to read and write at a low intermediate level.  Course is taught in Korean.  Prerequisite:  Existing demonstrable skills in spoken Korean.   3 credits

380.301-302 Advanced Korean I and II
Reading of Korean short stories and essays will enable students to refine the practical knowledge of Korea and its people and to explore the culture in depth.   3 credits
