Hopkins Intensive English Language Program (IELP)
June 29 - July 31, 2009

Johns Hopkins’ Summer Intensive English Language Program will help you to fit in and stand out.

The full-time program provides over 22 hours of classroom instruction per week. Morning core courses in listening/speaking and reading/writing help you to “fit in” the lab, office, or college classroom. Specialized afternoon and evening courses enable you to “stand out” when taking the TOEFL, discussing American culture through film, or making medical presentations. Testing before and advising throughout the five week term guarantee placement in classes that meet your needs and interests.

For part-time study, you may select one or two courses to polish your skills and enhance your career, or just enjoy yourself.

And learning at Hopkins doesn’t end in the classroom.

After class you can sharpen your skills in the lab, then meet for social activities: conversation groups, movie nights, a baseball game, dinner at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, and sailing on the Bay. The Summer IELP is a full language immersion.

Special Features

In addition to enjoying Hopkins in the summer:

* separate residential plans for high school and adult students
